In everyday life, it would be hard to not do something green.

Rinsing out your coffee cup for tomorrow’s brew, turning off your lights at night, opening a window instead of turning on the a/c, stopping at a local farm stand.these are all green practices that we tend to think of as routine. Broken down, many things that we do daily and have been routinely doing for years are actually green. But in an ever-greening world, the question on many of our minds is how can I possibly be green? How can green fit into my life?

Where do I start?

Maybe you already have. People need to be encouraged and congratulated for what they are already doing. We need to feel good about our current contributions. We are all green in some way.
So much about green in our popular culture emphasizes what you should do, what you could do and what still needs to be done. There is a noticeably absent amount of coverage celebrating what you are doing, what you have done and what you are willing to do. It is time to celebrate all shades of green. Even the tiniest pebble thrown into a pond has a ripple. Collectively, small contributions can have a big impact.

Processing all that is green can be overwhelming and intimidating. But feeling connected to a bigger purpose is empowering.

Clay Hill Farm believes green is a process of constant improvement. Green is about commitment and compromise. Green is about traditional values of family and community...our grandparents were green. Green is about taking care of ourselves and our environment. Green is a beginning, not an end.

Questions to Consider.

There is no right or wrong answer - we want your true take on it. So tell us, is there a place for green at your table? Think about it;

• Do you consider yourself green already?

• Do you consider green to be common sense practicality?

• Would you like to be green but feel overwhelmed and don’t know where to start?

• Do you even care?

What to do and submit.

Tell us your story with a play, a poem, a song, a painting or whatever creative expression suits your fancy, along with a two-minute video or a photo and 200-word essay.

Be creative. Be green (or not). Be funny. Be poignant.

Challenge others. Challenge yourself.

Celebrate. Awaken. Explore.

Take a stand. Plead your case.
