Valentine’s Day came early for Sean Patch and Debi Pian, the 2010 Grand
Prize winners in Clay Hill Farm’s Green Wedding Giveaway® contest. The
couple joined the other four finalists and contest sponsors via Skype,
as a snowstorm pounded NYC, preventing them from attending the contest
finale reception in person.
For the past four weeks the five finalists in the Green Wedding Giveaway®
2010 have creatively campaigned for public votes in an effort to win
an all-inclusive dream green wedding ceremony & reception at Clay
Hill Farm and a Caribbean honeymoon package. The voting phase of the
contest reconnected the finalists to old friends via social networks
and encouraged community involvement. The public votes signified the
spreading of green connectedness and Clay Hill Farm’s positive contest
message that celebrates all shades of green. Just shy of 20,000 votes
poured into the Green Wedding Giveaway® site in one month, and over
a million hits to the site from all over the world were recorded since
January. Prizes in this year’s Green Wedding Giveaway® exceeded $50,000.
“We are amazed and shocked by this honor,” said Pian and Patch through
the computer, “We always knew we wanted to get married in Maine, and
Clay Hill Farm looked like a good fit for us, but winning this contest
is beyond our dreams!” The couple first learned of the contest and Clay
Hill Farm at a bridal show in South Portland where Patch is from. An
all-inclusive wedding at Clay Hill Farm is planned for July 11, 2010.
The Grand Prize couple will also enjoy a nine-night Caribbean honeymoon
