Contest Entry
Who can enter the contest?
This opportunity is open to currently engaged couples that are legal residents of the US, each of who is at least 21 years old and each of who complies with all requirements set forth in the contest rules. Couples must be engaged to be eligible. Both individuals must be able and willing to travel to York, Maine for the various interviews and events associated with this contest once the finalists/winners have been determined.
The Selection Process
All qualified entries will be brought before the independent panel of judges, and four couples will win judges prizes for each of the four entry questions. Grand Prize winners will be decided by a combination of public voting numbers and judges' scores.
Agreeing to the CHF wedding terms
All entrants must agree that, if selected for a judge's prize, they are agreeing to have their wedding at Clay Hill Farm. The Grand Prize wedding ceremony & Reception will be at Clay Hill Farm in York Maine on Sunday, July 8th , 2012, from 10:30-4:30. The ceremony would be on-site at 11 am. The Grand Prize will include a complete wedding & Reception for up to 75 guests.

Nominations / Judging
Couples may be nominated by themselves or a third party
Nominations must consist of a one-page essay that tells the story of why the nominated couple deserves a green wedding reward at Clay Hill Farm. Nominations must include a picture of the couple that is relevant to their story.
Nominees Notified
All nominees will be notified by phone and asked if they wish to proceed as a finalist. If they agree, they will be asked to submit answers to four questions that will help to define their unique green shade and message to the world. Submissions will automatically enter nominees into the finals. One of the questions will ask for a creative submission to punctuate their green shade; a video, play, poem, song, sculpture, painting, etc…
Judges' Awards
Judges will score all finalist entries for the three judges awards (one for every question). Nominees need NOT answer every question to be eligible as a finalist for the individual judges' awards, but must answer every question to be considered for the Grand Prize. Nominees will be invited to a sponsor social at Clay Hill Farm on Friday, March 4, 2011. Couples must be able to attend the social to qualify as a finalist. Should a couple be unable to attend the social, they will be disqualified and the fourth place couple will take their place.
What's needed to be eligible for the Judges' Awards and Grand Prize Wedding?
To be eligible for the GRAND PRIZE, entrants must answer four finalist questions, and must agree to be present for ALL pre-determined publicity dates subject to the prize(s), and must agree to be available for any and all spontaneous publicity appearances requested by Clay Hill Farm through the calendar year of 2012.

If you become a finalist how is the Grand Prize winner decided?
The Grand Prize winner in the Green Wedding Giveaway ® 2012 will be determined by a final score that is made up of the average of overall ranking scores for
1. Finalist Questions (1-4) Judges Vote
2. Total number of public votes

All entries will be judged on creative content, originality and contest question relativity . The ability of the couple to engage, inspire and encourage green connectedness in all shades will weigh heavily on the contest judging. In the question specific to measuring creativity, finalists will be asked to submit a creative expression that demonstrates their green shade; a video, a play, poem, sculpture, song, piece of artwork, etc…(NOTE: Videos have be proven to increase public voting numbers in Phase 2 of the contest). All entries will be judged on creative content, originality and contest question relativity . The ability of the couple to engage, inspire and encourage green connectedness in all shades will weigh heavily on the contest judging.
2. Public Voting
The 2012 campaign for public votes will commence on February 6, 2012 and continue for five weeks through March 12, 2012 at noon. Public votes will count ONLY if cast through the official Green Wedding Giveaway website: www.greenweddinggiveaway.com website. Voting is limited to one per person/email. Voters must “opt-in” to the email voting. Multiple votes will be voided. Any efforts or attempts to artificially inflate voting electronically, which violate the spirit of the contest, will lead to the elimination of those votes from the totals counted.
